La frase se escuchó en la reunión del Consejo de Seguridad y fue el argumento en el que se basó la Policía Federal para apoyar el cambio de horario que planteó River para que la revancha con el Botafogo no se hiciera de noche. Pero por ahora no prosperó por los contratos firmados con la TV y porque los brasileños trabajaron pensando en que jugarían a las 20.15, como estaba previsto. “A nosotros nadie nos hizo un pedido formal. Me parece que ya no hay tiempo, pero es sabido que siempre puede haber modificaciones de último momento, como pasó el domingo”, le dijo Eduardo Deluca, secretario de la CSF, a Olé. Por este motivo, para custodiar el partido habrá casi 900 policías, más la seguridad privada que aporte el club. Y una de las opciones que manejaban para que la entrada a la popular fuera por un solo lugar era no habilitar la tribuna Centenario alta y dejar sólo el corralito para los brasileños que vengan al Monumental. En el club es tal el temor a la barra que el domingo, tras la goleada de Tigre, cerraron las puertas. ---
