Finals Rematch: Cavaliers at Warriors (5:00 p.m. ET, ABC)
That brings us to what most would consider the featured game of the day, tipping just after 5pm Eastern Time, when the Warriors host the Cavaliers – this season’s first meeting of the teams that contested last spring’s NBA Finals. There may not be two bigger stars in the NBA than LeBron James and Stephen Curry, but they have had diametrically opposite experiences when playing on Christmas Day. LeBron has averaged 27.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game, shooting 51.9 percent from the floor in nine games, of which his team has won seven. Stephen has averaged 6.0 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game in four games, but – get this – has averaged only 9.3 points, while shooting 25 percent from the floor (14-for-56) in those games. His Christmas Day scoring high was a mere 15 points in a game against the Clippers in 2013. Curry has scored that many points in a single quarter 11 times already this season.
