Linux Distribution Chooser es una aplicacion online en la que se te va haciendo una serie de preguntas y en funcion de tus respuestas te da una lista de recomendaciones sobre las distribuciones linux que mas te convienen. Curioso.

bastante interesante a mi me gusta mucho ubuntu y kubuntu pero la maquina que tengo ahora lastimosamente tiene chipset VIA que no tiene drivers para linux asi que voy a poder ocupar nuevamente ubuntu cuando junte mis pesitos y me combre una tarjeta nvidia 
Podés probar Xubuntu, que tiene un manejador de escritorio más liviano.

You need 192 MB RAM to run the Live CD or 192 MB RAM to install. The Alternate Install CD only requires you to have 64 MB RAM at install time.
To install Xubuntu, you need 2.0 GB of free space on your hard disk.
Once installed, Xubuntu can run with starting from 192 (or even just 128) MB RAM, but it is strongly recommended to have at least 256 MB RAM.
no cazo un fulbo de software, por eso no uso mas que mozila de software libre:oops::oops:
uso kubuntu y tengo ganas de probar otra distro para conocer alguna que no venga de debian o ubuntu, capaz que arch, que les parece, alguien la uso?
Podés hacer el test para ver si hay un Linux para vos.
